James Tetrud spent his working life as a neurologist, studying what happens when the brain begins to change against a person's will. He writes fiction about the same thing — people who find out too late what they were dealing with. His novels run from a snowed-in lodge at the end of the Gunflint Trail to a lab where ravens are learning to talk back.
